Bob Sinos and Holly Stroud
What’s that you say? A new group on the music scene? No, it’s what just
about everyone who knows Holly Stroud and fiancé Bob Sinos calls them.
Holly and Bob will be married in just about a month, and they have tennis to
thank.
Holly is a long time tennis player out of Midtown Athletic club in
Marietta. Bob is a long-time member of the same club, but he sure didn’t
play tennis there. “I never even saw the tennis courts and I had been a
member for 10 years,” he said with a grin. Bob is a swimmer and a ballroom
dancer, both of which he does there at Midtown. In fact, his dancing
performances are often a highlight of social events and parties at the
club.
It
was at one of those social events back in 2006 that Holly and Bob first
met. Bob did play tennis in high school, and it wasn’t long before Holly
introduced him to those courts at their club and had him out there playing
again. Bob says he “picked up a racket again to get to know Holly.” Now
HollyBob is a member (or is that members??) of the Ball 6.0 Adult
Atlanta Team playing here at the State Championships.
They don’t pair up to form a doubles team because of their NTRP rating
levels, but they do pair up as a couple on the dance floor. Holly brought
Bob back to tennis and Bob is bringing ballroom dancing to Holly. Their
first dance together as husband and wife will be to Michael Buble’s “You and
I.”
Congratulations from USTA Georgia HollyBob, and wishes for a lifetime of
happiness together!
